Fabrication
Devices and equipment for use in research can be designed and fabricated by the Biomechanics Core. The fabrication laboratory is well-equipped, and laboratory staff can coordinate builds with other service partners to enhance designs (rapid prototyping, safety checks).
Examples of fabricated items include:
- Custom surgical tools.
- Custom mechanical testing equipment.
- Implant prototypes.
- Molds for parts and tissue scaffolds.
- Robotic joint simulators.
- Sensors and instrumentation.
- Test frames, jigs and forms.
