Significance to patient care
Dr. Davila does many types of blood vessel surgeries, including for patients who have artery or vein disease. He is skilled in both traditional surgery and minimally invasive surgery using catheters and other devices. He focuses on areas such as the brain, aorta, arms and legs, and organs.
Dr. Davila helps other surgeons plan and perform complicated operations. Sometimes these require surgeons from different specialties to work together. Or the goal might be to fix or rebuild the blood vessels. Often, these are for patients having brain surgery, urological surgery, bone and joint surgery, or cancer surgery. He also conducts spine exposure surgeries for the Department of Neurosurgery.
