Eldrige.Jason@mayo.edu Clinical Profile

SUMMARY

Jason S. Eldrige, M.D., researches clinical treatment for complex spine pain, including minimally invasive procedures and percutaneous blocks. He has published extensively about ultrasound-guided techniques to treat peripheral nerve pain and entrapment syndromes. Dr. Eldrige uses new regenerative treatments for spine-based indications.

Focus areas

  • Complex spine conditions. Dr. Eldrige studies the recognition of complex spine conditions with an appropriate diagnostic workup and imaging to determine a differential diagnosis.
  • Peripheral neuropathic pain syndromes. Dr. Eldrige identifies and classifies peripheral neuropathic pain syndromes. He applies pharmacological and interventional treatment options for these pain syndromes.
  • Regenerative medicine. Dr. Eldrige applies bench-to-bedside regenerative methods to treat spine pain coming from facet joints, sacroiliac joints and intervertebral disks.

Significance to patient care

Dr. Eldrige's clinical research on spine pain, ultrasound-guided procedural technique and regenerative technologies strives to obtain individualized treatment that is suited for each specific person. Ongoing shared efforts with several interdisciplinary colleagues seek to create new treatments with coordination of care across specialities.
