SUMMARY

Musab S. Hommos, M.B.B.S., researches the evaluation and management of high blood pressure. He focuses on difficult-to-manage hypertension, individualized hypertension management, ambulatory and remote blood pressure monitoring, and hypertension care delivery. Dr. Hommos has a strong interest in medical education research, concentrating on assessment in medical education and the integration of artificial intelligence into the training of future healthcare professionals.

Focus areas

  • Resistant and difficult-to-treat hypertension. Dr. Hommos studies methods to improve the detection of secondary causes of hypertension. He individualizes treatment strategies to enhance blood pressure management and cardiovascular outcomes. Dr. Hommos' research also includes exploring new classes of antihypertensive drugs.
  • Delivery of hypertension care with remote and ambulatory patient monitoring. Dr. Hommos studies systems that deliver care for patients with hypertension in their own residences. He integrates remote and ambulatory monitoring to optimize treatment. Dr. Hommos' research explores the role and impact of these tools in hypertension management.
  • Artificial intelligence in medical education. Dr. Hommos investigates and develops innovative methods for assessing medical trainees and integrating artificial intelligence in the education of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
