Significance to patient care
Day-to-day research for Dr. Kashyap includes meaningful use of medical informatics tools. The sole purpose is to find ways to improve health care delivery among patients with critical care illness and in need of emergent care. Besides studying patients, Dr. Kashyap studies health care providers as well as the systems used for the above.
Research done by Dr. Kashyap in severe sepsis and acute lung injury is shining some light on ways to improve early goal-directed therapy (EGDT) and acute lung injury resolution.
