SUMMARY

The research of Susan N. Kok, M.D., spans a variety of areas primarily related to women's health. She collaborates with colleagues from psychiatry and obstetrics and gynecology on projects focused on mood disorders, persistent genital arousal disorder (PGAD) and infertility. The bulk of her research is focused on people with spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) and the intersection of this condition with other common women's health conditions such as migraine.

Focus areas

  • Describing and understanding the experiences and outcomes of individuals with SCAD and breast cancer.
  • Reviewing the characteristics and outcomes of people with PGAD.

Significance to patient care

Dr. Kok's research aims to fill in gaps in the literature surrounding important but understudied conditions primarily impacting women, such as SCAD and PGAD.
