Want to network with peers, exchange ideas and receive feedback from senior scientists? If so, the Mayo Foundation Rising Star Symposium is for you. This unique meeting of scientific minds gives you these opportunities, and provides valuable career direction, networking and professional growth.

The symposium will be held Oct. 24-25, 2024, in Phillips Hall, which is on the first floor of the Siebens Building on Mayo Clinic's Rochester, Minnesota, campus. The two-day event starts Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, at 5 p.m. EDT with a plenary talk, reception and social hour. Speaker presentations will follow on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, from 8:40 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT.

This symposium is open to all Mayo Clinic faculty, staff and trainees interested in biomedical discovery and its applications in the fields of neuroscience and cancer research. It is free to attend. The symposium will include speakers from Mayo Clinic and other academic medical centers.

Mayo Clinic is invested in training and supporting the next generation of biomedical scientists to drive its mission to understand and treat human disease. This event showcases excellence in biomedical discovery research related to the fields of neuroscience, metabolism and cancer research by early-stage investigators from Mayo Clinic and across the nation. Networking with visiting speakers and Mayo Clinic discovery scientists is encouraged.

The lineup of speakers and presentation topics have been selected to enrich the quality and diversity of candidates seeking faculty or postdoctoral positions.
