Overview
The Collective to Strengthen Pathways for Health Research is bringing greater attention and resources for breakthrough health research to better prevent and address disease. This is a collaborative effort with other philanthropic partners, including:

Mayo Clinic is hosting one of the 18 conversations happening across the U.S. over a four-month period. The Symposium to Strengthen Health Research will be the venue for Mayo Clinic's conversation, "Accelerating New Therapies to Patients — Combining Efficacy and Effectiveness in Clinical Trials of Broad Populations."
This event brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including:
- Health research funders.
- Industry leaders.
- Government representatives.
- Community-based organizations.
- Patient advocates.
The symposium seeks to mobilize philanthropic, policy and research communities to redefine funding models, policies and systemic approaches to clinical research to drive transformative health outcomes.
This symposium will be held as part of the Doris Duke Foundation's Strengthening Pathways initiative. The Robertson Foundation, through the Collective to Strengthen Pathways for Health Research, is funding this symposium. Mayo Clinic's Corporate and Foundation Relations and the Department of Development are collaborating to present this event.
