Research projects

The Ovarian Cancer SPORE supports three translational research projects:

• Project 1: Next-Generation TOP1 Inhibition to Treat Ovarian Cancer is assessing DNA topoisomerase 1 (TOP1) inhibitors to treat ovarian cancer.
• Project 2: Treating Advanced Ovarian Cancer Using Gene-Edited CAR NK Cells is exploring natural killer (NK) cells as an adoptive cellular therapy for ovarian cancer.
• Project 4: Th17 T Cell-inducing Vaccines for the Prevention of Ovarian Cancer Recurrence seeks to advance a promising vaccine-based immunotherapy for ovarian cancer.
