Careers and education
The Center for Multiple Sclerosis and Autoimmune Neurology offers several financial awards to promote research and enhance career development and collaboration.
Pilot project awards
Pilot project awards enhance collaboration both within the center and with noncenter members. Awards are offered to support investigator-initiated proposals that are hypothesis driven and advance either the clinical science or basic science understanding of multiple sclerosis and other inflammatory demyelinating central nervous system disorders.
Postdoctoral fellowship awards
Postdoctoral clinical and basic science fellowships are awarded each year as part of our education mission. These awards are initiated by a mentor. In most cases, a fellow is identified and named on the application. The research mentor serves as principal investigator on the project.
Associate consultants, senior associate consultants and consultants at Mayo Clinic's campuses in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota are eligible to submit an application for the postdoctoral fellowship award.
Career development awards
Career development awards support the career development of investigators and enhance collaboration within the center and with noncenter members. These awards are initiated by a mentor. In most cases, a junior investigator is identified and named on the application. The research mentor serves as principal investigator on the project.
Investigator-initiated proposals that focus on advanced human imaging research, multiple sclerosis and demyelinating diseases are preferred.
Senior postdoctoral fellows, research associates, research scientists and associate consultants at Mayo Clinic's campuses in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota are eligible to submit a proposal for a career development award.
