Biorepository
A biorepository within the Center for Multiple Sclerosis and Autoimmune Neurology enables experts to collect, process and store biospecimens from individuals and volunteers. These biospecimens include DNA, tissue samples, plasma, serum and cerebrospinal fluid. The biospecimens help fuel critical research to identify biomarkers for earlier diagnosis and treatment targets.
Expanding and enhancing this biorepository accelerates new and innovative treatments by allowing faster access to a wider range of samples for use in research and for sharing results among investigators.
This is the largest U.S. biorepository of brain tissues, serum and cerebrospinal fluid samples from people with inflammatory demyelinating disorders and autoimmune neurological disorders.
