About this study

The purpose of this study is to identify the degree of sleep disturbance which occurs with night shift work and the persists of disturbances into the recovery period following the night shift series.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adults, ICU physicians working night shifts at Mayo Clinic Rochester, night shift series of 3 to 7 nights.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Non-Mayo Clinic Rochester physicians, physicians that work night shifts greater than 50 % of the time or do not have longer than 2 weeks between night shifts.
