Real-Time Myocardial Perfusion Echocardiography in the ICU
Rochester, MN
This study is being done to find out if and how much the use of RTMPE improves a provider's confidence in the diagnosis they assign. This is important because the use of RTMPE may decrease the need for any additional invasive testing.

Pemafibrate to Reduce Cardiovascular OutcoMes by Reducing Triglycerides IN patiENts With diabeTes (PROMINENT)
No Locations
The primary objective of the study is to determine whether pemafibrate administered twice daily will delay the time to first occurrence of any component of the clinical composite endpoint of: - nonfatal Myocardial Infarction (MI) - nonfatal ischemic stroke - hospitalization for unstable angina requiring unplanned coronary revascularization; or - Cardio Vascular (CV) death.

HeartTrends HRV Algorithm for the Diagnosis of Myocardial Ischemia
Scottsdale/Phoenix, AZ; Rochester, MN
A total of 621 consecutive male and female subjects, without established CAD, referred to exercise stress testing (EST) due to 1) chest pain syndromes or equivocal/equivalent angina with intermediate pretest probability for CAD; 2) , or asymptomatic subjects with diabetes mellitus who are referred EST for risk assessment prior to initiation of an exercise program.
To validate the diagnostic performance of the HeartTrends device for the detection and ruling out of myocardial ischemia in a population of subjects who are currently referred for cardiovascular evaluation using EST.
Prospective multicenter single-armed study, assessing the diagnostic accuracy of HRV analysis by the HeartTrends device ...

A Study to Evaluate the Influence of Pulse Electromagnetic Field Therapy on Myocardial Ischemia
Scottsdale/Phoenix, AZ; Rochester, MN
The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of pulse electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy using the Bioboosti device (Biomobie Regenerative Medicine Company) and therapeutic protocol on cardiac ischemia in patients with coronary artery disease as quantified using an assessment of myocardial blood flow using 13N-ammonia myocardial perfusion positron emission tomography (PET) scanning to quantify blood flow during chemical induced stress.

A Study to See if MPI SPECT Phase Analysis Can Detect Varying Levels of Changes in Heart Rhythm Patterns
Rochester, MN
The purpose of this study is to determine if MPI SPECT phase analysis can detect varying degrees of abnormal heart rhythm between patients with normal coronary artery circulation, ischemia (poor blood circulation), and infarct (area of dead tissue) from loss of circulation.

Acute Stroke Or Transient Ischaemic Attack Treated with Aspirin or Ticagrelor and Patient Outcomes
Scottsdale/Phoenix, AZ
The primary objective of the study is to compare the effect of 90-day treatment with ticagrelor (180 mg [two 90 mg tablets] loading dose on Day 1 followed by 90 mg twice daily maintenance dose for the remainder of the study) vs acetylsalicylic acid (ASA)-aspirin (300 mg [three 100 mg tablets] loading dose on Day 1 followed by 100 mg once daily maintenance dose for the remainder of the study) for the prevention of major vascular events (composite of stroke, myocardial infarction [MI], and death) in patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA).

International Study of Comparative Health Effectiveness With Medical and Invasive Approaches (ISCHEMIA)
No Locations
The purpose of the ISCHEMIA trial is to determine the best management strategy for higher-risk patients with stable ischemic heart disease. This is a multicenter randomized controlled trial with a target enrollment of ~8000 patients with at least moderate ischemia on stress imaging. Patients will be assigned at random to a routine invasive strategy (INV) with cardiac catheterization (cath) followed by revascularization plus optimal medical therapy (OMT) or to a conservative strategy (CON) of OMT, with cath and revascularization reserved for those who fail OMT.
SPECIFIC AIMS
A. Primary Aim
The primary aim of the ISCHEMIA trial is to ...

CD-NP (Cenderitide) Therapy for the Preservation of Left Ventricular Function Post Anterior Myocardial Infarction - Pilot Study
Rochester, MN
The primary endpoint is to assess the safety and tolerability of CD-NP with the incidence of symptomatic hypotension being one of the key safety variables.
