• A Placebo-Controlled Trial of Pregabalin (Lyrica) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome Rochester, Minn.

  This study is being done to see if Lyrica helps people with irritable bowel syndrome.

• A Prospective Study of Perinatal Gastric Tubes and Risk Factors for IBS Rochester, Minn.

  The purpose of this study is to find out if having a stomach tube placed as a baby is connected to having greater chances of stomach or intestine problems later in life.

• Assessing the Utility of Quantitative Fecal Fat Studies to Diagnose Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) Rochester, Minn.

  The purpose of this study is to understand how the results from a fecal fat test compare to results from the duodenal aspirate culture which was collected during a recent clinical EGD. The goal is to determine whether this less expensive, non-invasive test that can be performed at home can potentially be used in place of an EGD with fluid collection and culture, particularly to monitor response to treatment.
