The purpose of this study is to determine the rate of motor vehicle collisions (MVCs) due to spells in patients diagnosed with psychogenic, non-epilepic seizures (PNES) and compare to those diagnosed with epilepsy and to the general population.

Micro-Electrocorticographic Recordings from Human Cortex for Mapping Cortical Information Processing and Decoding Dexterous Hand Movements

The purpose of this study is to use micro-electrode (micro-ECoG) grids to record and map information from the brain to compare to the current standard of care - ECoG grids - in processing and decoding the fine motor movements of the hand in patients undergoing long-term monitoring for the surgical treatment of medically-refractory seizure disorder.

Predictability of Smartphone Videos in an Outpatient Epilepsy Clinic

The purpose of this study is to find out if home-recorded Smartphone videos can be used to accurately diagnose epilepsy in patients seeking evaluation for seizures. The idea is to compare the home-recorded video to video-EEG monitoring, which is the current gold-standard for diagnosis.
