Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection: Case Review

Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is uncommon but important cause of acute coronary syndrome and sudden cardiac death. There is very little data exists in regards to patient clinical characteristics, risk factors, treatment and outcomes. Our objective is to prospectively assess long term outcomes.

A Multicenter Post-Market Registry for the Evaluation of the CorPath ® 200 System for Effectiveness in Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PRECISION)

The purpose of this registry is to collect data on the routine patterns of use, safety and effectiveness, including the clinical and technical performance of the CorPath 200 System, in the delivery and manipulation of coronary guidewires and stent/balloon catheters during PCI procedures.

Assessment of Coronary Plaque Composition Using Optical Coherence Tomography During Chronic Inhibition of Lp-PLa2 Activity

The investigators hypothesis is that local activation of the endogenous Lp-PLA2 plays an integral role in early atherosclerosis, and contributes to the mechanism of coronary endothelial dysfunction and to the structural and mechanical properties that characterize plaque vulnerability. Thus, the investigators study will characterize prospectively the correlation between the functional and structural vascular wall properties, and the activity of the Lp-PLA2 pathway.

Outcomes of Percutaneous Revascularization for Management of Surgically Ineligible Patients With Multivessel or Left Main Coronary Artery Disease: A Prospective Registry (OPTIMUM)

The OPTIMUM registry is a minimal risk observational study that uses a prospective cohort design to follow patients who have multivessel or left main coronary artery disease ("surgical anatomy" according to ACC/AHA Appropriateness Criteria for PCI12) and are deemed ineligible for coronary artery bypass surgery. It is anticipated that 20 sites will be selected to participate in the registry from a national network of leading centers across the United States with recognized expertise in both complex PCI and coronary artery bypass surgery. We will invite leading cardiac centers, as defined by US News and World reports rankings for heart care. Additional sites may be added to meet the target enrollment goal.

Use of a Computerized Body Auscultation Device (©VoqX) for the Diagnosis of Structural Cardiac Pathologies

The purpose of this study is to identify patients presenting to the echocardiogram laboratroy for routine clinically indicated echocardiography or to the cardiac catheterization laboratory for routine clinically indicated catheterization procedures. These patients will undergo a cardiac physical examination using the ( VoqX) stethoscope for the following 2 aims:
1) Collect computerized auscultation data to train the ©VoqX device on how a variety of cardiac pathologies "sound", including normal heart sounds, aortic stenosis, and mitral valve disease, after identifying these cardiac pathologies using gold-standard testing with echocardiography or invasive cardiac catheterization.
2)Prospectively determine the accuracy of the ©VoqX device as a tool to non-invasively screen for structural cardiac pathologies, by comparing the results in terms of structural cardiac pathologies ascertained from using the ©VoqX device with those derived from echocardiography or cardiac catheterization testing.
