Martin and Winifred Ehlers Visiting Professorship in Molecular Research

With generous support from the Ehlers family, Mayo Clinic's Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology sponsors visiting professorships for distinguished lecturers in symposia organized by department faculty and students.

The 2024 Ehlers Symposium

The department hosted the 2024 Ehlers Symposium and Departmental Research Retreat in Genome Editing and Applications in Medicine on July 19, 2024. Career development and entrepreneurship sessions, student presentations, student posters, and faculty presentations were held during the symposium. The visiting professorship and plenary lectures were given by Maria Jasin, Ph.D., and Fergus J. Couch, Ph.D., respectively.

10th Mayo Clinic Symposium on lmmuno-Oncology and Tumor Microenvironment Crosstalk 2024

This CME symposium course at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Dec. 5-7, 2024, will bring together basic scientists, clinical experts and industry partners in the field of tumor microenvironment, immune therapy, anti-angiogenesis and targeted therapy. This symposium will facilitate the exchange of ideas and new scientific direction involving basic biology and pathways that eventually lead to new individualized therapies for patients.
