SUMMARY

Afsaneh Alavi, M.D., is a dermatologist with research interests in wound healing and inflammatory disorders of the skin such as hidradenitis suppurativa and pyoderma gangrenosum.

Dr. Alavi is the medical lead for dermatology clinical trials at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Alavi's clinical interests are chronic wounds, with a focus on inflammatory wounds and skin manifestation of gastrointestinal disorders. She has been a principle investigator in numerous clinical trials.
