M.D.-Ph.D. Program
The M.D.-Ph.D. Program, officially known as the Medical Scientist Training Program, is offered by Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. The program presents an exceptional opportunity for a select group of highly talented students to pursue a combined M.D.-Ph.D. degree.
Within the M.D.-Ph.D. Program, students choose from eight track options — one of them being the clinical and translational science track. The Center for Clinical and Translational Science delivers the clinical and translational science coursework for this track.
The clinical and translational science track, which is built upon Mayo Clinic's extensive interdisciplinary research and medical environment, includes laboratory-based research training and rigorous coursework that together prepare dual-track scholars to translate scientific discoveries into applications that improve patient care.
