Pediatric orthopedics
A note from the division program directors
The Division of Pediatric Orthopedics performs critical research to benefit children with musculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on conditions related to the hip, spine and trauma.
Recent research interests in our division include:
- Participation in multicenter registries to evaluate outcomes of two motion-sparing scoliosis surgeries.
- Periacetabular osteotomies for hip dysplasia.
- Infant developmental hip dysplasia.
- Investigative injections to improve outcomes in avascular necrosis.
In addition to participating in vital research, fellows in our Gap Year Program engage in publication of findings, including being first author and making podium presentations at regional and national meetings. Fellows also have the opportunity to participate in numerous registries and study groups.
The Division of Pediatric Orthopedics accepts two students through the Gap Year Program.
