The Integrating Special Populations Program's Rochester Area Older Adult Registry connects older adults who want to participate in research with clinical trials they're eligible for.
Rochester Area Older Adult Registry
Older adults are often underrepresented in research due to a variety of barriers to participation, such as:
- Medical complications
- Perceived frailty
- Difficulty coordinating the assistance of family and other caregivers
The Rochester Area Older Adult Registry is a Mayo Clinic clinical trial aimed at addressing these barriers to enable more seniors to participate and benefit from research. The program assists older adults who want to volunteer in research by matching them with appropriate studies.
