Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) Versus Sublobar Resection for High-Risk Patients with Early Stage Non-Small Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

This randomized phase II trial is for medically inoperable early stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. It is designed to compare the number of patients who are disease free and alive at 2 years between Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) and surgical intervention arms. SBRT is less invasive and felt to be equally effective to surgery for early stage NSCLC. Surgery is currently the standard of care for these patients. The hypothesis of this study is that SBRT is at least as good as surgery for disease free survival at 2 years.

Study of the NEUWAVE Flex Microwave Ablation System in the Ablation of Primary Soft Tissue Lesions of the Lung

Patients with medically inoperable primary soft tissue lesion of the lung will have transbronchial microwave ablation performed via transbronchial approach by an interventional pulmonologist or thoracic surgeon using CT imaging. Prior to the ablation procedure, the treating physician will use endobronchial ultrasound to confirm staging. Patients will be followed for one year following the ablation procedure for efficacy and safety.

This is a study of ADI-PEG 20 (pegylated arginine deiminase), an arginine degrading enzyme versus placebo in patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma with low argininosuccinate synthetase 1 expression. Malignant pleural mesothelioma have been found to require arginine, an amino acid. Thus the hypothesis is that by restricting arginine with ADI-PEG 20, the malignant pleural mesothelioma cells will starve and die.

Randomized, Double-blind Study Comparing Tremelimumab to Placebo in Subjects With Unresectable Malignant Mesothelioma

This is a Phase 2b, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group study. Subjects with unresectable pleural or peritoneal malignant mesothelioma will be randomized in a 2:1 ratio to receive either tremelimumab or placebo. The study consists of a screening period, a treatment period, a 90-day follow-up period for safety, and a long-term survival follow-up period.

The investigators anticipate that the intrapleural of the vaccine strain measles virus will enable the virus to specifically infect and kill cancer cells and spare, without damaging normal cells. Furthermore, the investigators expect the measles virus to trigger an anti-tumor immune response which will result in additional destruction of the tumor by immune cells.

This study will compare two doses of pembrolizumab versus docetaxel in participants with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have experienced disease progression after platinum-containing systemic therapy. Participants will be assigned randomly to receive either Low Dose or High Dose pembrolizumab every three weeks (Q3W), or docetaxel at 75 mg/m^2 Q3W. This study will use an adaptive trial design so that the total number of participants randomized will depend upon demonstration of sufficient objective responses at interim analysis. If the pembrolizumab Low Dose arm is closed, participants may receive pembrolizumab High Dose therapy.

TG4010 is a suspension of recombinant Modified Vaccinia virus strain Ankara (MVA strain) carrying coding sequences for human MUC1 antigen and human interleukin-2 (IL2). TG4010 has been developed for use as an immunotherapy in cancer patients whose tumors express the MUC1 antigen.
TG4010 is intended to induce a MUC1-specific cellular immune response and to produce a non-specific activation of several components of the immune system.

This randomized, active controlled, multicenter Phase III open-label study is designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of alectinib compared with critozinib treatment in patients with treatment-naive ALK-positive advanced NSCLC. Patients will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either alectinib, 600 mg orally twice daily (BID), or critozinib, 250 mg orally BID. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of a remote monitoring program with health coaching for patients with cancer related fatigue.
The primary objective is to assess the effect of the remote-monitoring program on patient reported fatigue by administering the Brief Fatigue Inventory and the Cancer Fatigue Scale/ MFSI-SF. Secondary objective is to assess the effect of the program on quality of life by administering the LASA questionnaire.

This pilot randomized clinical trial studies the effects, good and/or bad, of taking doxepin hydrochloride compared to placebo (inactive drug) in treating esophageal pain in patients with thoracic cancer receiving radiation therapy to the thorax with or without chemotherapy. Doxepin hydrochloride is a tricyclic antidepressant drug which was recently shown to be helpful for mouth pain in patients receiving radiation therapy. Part of doxepin hydrochloride's drug action takes place at the surface of the esophagus, which may be helpful in reducing the pain caused by radiation therapy.

This is a Phase 1 multi-center study to evaluate the clinical safety and immune response of ID-LV305 when injected intradermally in patients with advanced cancer. ID-LV305 is a novel immunotherapy agent designed to target dendritic cells and stimulate the body's immune system to fight the spread and growth of cancer for patients whose tumors express the NY-ESO-1 protein. Patients with melanoma, sarcoma, ovarian cancer, or non-small cell lung cancer that express NY-ESO-1 may be considered for the trial. This is a Phase I, open label study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of INO-1400 alone or in combination with INO-9012, delivered by electroporation in subjects with high-risk solid tumor cancer with no evidence of disease after surgery and standard therapy. Subjects will be enrolled into one of six treatment arms. Subjects will be assessed according to standard of care. Restaging and imaging studies will be performed to assess disease relapse per NCCN guidelines. RECIST will be used to validate the findings in cases of relapse.
