Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be employed at Mayo Clinic.
- Applicant appointments, which are documented at the time of application, must be of sufficient length to allow for completion of all requirements of the program.
- Visiting research fellows are eligible.
- Visiting clinicians, research trainees and research collaborators are not eligible.
- Candidates must complete a minimum period of six months in residence after admission to a program.
- Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a discipline applicable to research.
Candidates for the Certificate in Applied Clinical and Translational Research must additionally:
- Identify a Mayo Clinic research mentor.
- Be pursuing a clinical and translational research project that will lead to improvements in human health. This includes:
- Epidemiological and natural history studies.
- Translational research.
- Patient-oriented research.
- Clinical trials.
- Outcomes research.
