The application deadline for the 2025 awards is Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 5 p.m. Central time. Awards will be announced in spring 2025.
Cardiovascular
- Paul and Ruby Tsai and Family Career Development Award Fund in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Research Honoring Dr. Nishimura — one award of $100,000 a year for up to three years. This award supports research in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy disease or pediatric hypertrophic cardiomyopathy disease.
- Ted and Loretta Rogers Cardiovascular Career Development Award Honoring Hugh C. Smith, M.D. — one award of $100,000 a year for up to three years.
Endocrinology
- Robert and Elizabeth Strickland Career Development Award in Endocrinology, Metabolism, Diabetes and Nutrition — one award of $100,000 a year for up to three years. Applicants with enterprise-wide research projects in the areas of diabetes, insulin resistance and nutrition are particularly encouraged to apply.
Individualized Medicine
- Bernard J. and Nancy C. Karwick Career Development Award in Individualized Medicine — one award of $125,000 a year for up to two years.
Nephrology and Hypertension
- Fulk Career Development Award for Research in Nephrology, Glomerular Diseases and Clinical Trials — one award of $100,000 a year for up to three years.
- Robert W. Fulk CDA Fund in Nephrology Research Honoring Fernando Fervenza, M.D. — one award of $100,000 a year for up to three years.
Neurologic Surgery Research
- Helene Houle Career Development Award in Neurologic Surgery Research — one award of $100,000 a year for up to three years.
- John M. Nasseff, Sr., Career Development Award in Neurologic Surgery Research — one award of $100,000 a year for up to three years.
Pulmonology
- Lucile J. Nelson Clinician Career Development Award in Pulmonary Diseases Research — one award of $100,000 a year for up to three years. This award is restricted to a practicing clinician in pulmonary diseases research.
